OrdanceSurvey site projection

It is right up against the shore water line, and is along side the West Island Way walking path. A listed Lighthouse is nearby, along with the scenic Glen Callum bay.

We can project the proposed site boundaries into Google Earth, to show the site against the horizon, from above the top of the hill it’s adjecent to.

Panoramic Views

The Isle of Bute has been designated an Area of Panoramic Quality by Argyll & Bute Council. As well as that, the area the fish farm is by is also designated a Very Sensitive Area for Development.

A Development Management Zone which, as designated in the Argyll and Bute adopted Local Development Plan 2015, comprises countryside and isolated coast which has extremely limited capacity to successfully absorb development; only limited categories of natural resource based development is supported in these areas

Core Paths

Argyll & Bute Council are required to map and maintain a list of paths in their area. We can see that the site is right by the listed West Island Way, and it’s routes around the South end of the Island.
